Living in the now
There was a report today about a lady who, following a brain haemorrhage, found her memory constantly lapsed after about ten minutes. So, if she was in a restaurant, she had no idea of where she was, what city or country she was in or how she came to be there. Not unnaturally, this caused her considerable anxiety.
It could be said that, for her, time stopped, and she has been forced to live almost entirely in her present. It is a different dimension. This is what lies ahead for all of us, but hopefully we will recognise the change for what it is, the chance to live without the controlling influence of the mind, and we will have acceptance of this without fear.
