Moons for Enlightenment

Facilitating enlightenment is the key aspect of all that I do, and the key moons for August, beginning with the full moon on Saturday, govern this key aspect of being human.

Esoterically, the moons are in the sign of Leo, which is all about the acquiring of wisdom, self-awareness and discernment, and the long-sought fusing of personality with soul. This, in its essence, is enlightenment, helping you to see the Light, to grow your Light and to be the Light.

Sometimes powerful, sometimes forceful, the Leonine influence can propel you along your spiritual pilgrimage or, alternatively, can hold you back through misuse of power and the desire to take rather than give, to lead for gain rather than for service to others, to be aggressive rather than compassionate, to do nothing in passivity rather than to do your best as opportunity arises. The First Ray, the Ray of Power, is at work here too.

The combination of the qualities of Leo with the expression of a Full Moon stirs much and changes much, and all awakened souls will feel it. Mercury is retrograde at this time also, confusing the normal clarity and unambiguity of a Leo moon, causing self-questioning, perhaps, of who you really are and wonderings about your conduct and behaviour and human journey as that awakened, enlightened soul.

To pause for reflection is good from time to time, and, as we feel the Leo moons calling us to activity, it is important to remember that she invites us also to be not just to do. Power is at its best when it is gentle. Wisdom is gained through experience and observation but also through spiritual connection, and from this comes clarity and self-knowledge; these are the keys to the enlightenment which I seek to further in every way and every where I can. It is in your power to do so too.
