Politics and Judgment

The current expenses debacle in British politics is a marvellous example of karma in action, the Law of Cause and Effect.  It is ironic that the Legg enquiry was initiated by the Prime Minister for short term PR expediency, but is backfiring spectacularly now in a way that is personally and politically disastrous.

It may be that the next question in all of this is the balance between justice, fair play, and doing what looks good to appease the public.  Judgment is rife, Forgiveness and Discernement are nowhere, and I wonder how long it will be before the pressure precipitates tragedy.
