Enlightenment from Elementals
The world of the elementals is not normally associated with the acquiring of enlightenment, and this is a loss for Man.
It is early morning here in my sacred sanctuary of mid-Wales, and the Spirits of the five Elements are apparent everywhere. The sun is rising, glowing pink across the water meadow as Fire awakens, while Water laughs and echoes through the valleys as the great River Wye cascades through the rocks left by ancient glaciers long ago; flocks of birds swoop and soar outside my window, calling and talking and flying on Wind while Mother Earth lies serenely and majestically below and all around me, visible everywhere I look – She is in the mountains, the trees, the grass and the soil, the foundation of my human life, while the foundation of my soul is from Spirit, that which is everything, that which is nothing and without which I would be nothing.
These five Elements give us riches beyond comprehension, but they do not work alone. Within each of them are Elementals, precious spirits of nature which are found in every part of nature, for even a blade of grass or drop of water or spark from a flame or ghostly breath in a breeze has its own spirit guardian. All of them create and enable nature, and support and enrich our lives.
They give us wisdom, too, which is Enlightenment, but how often do we, do you, pause to notice this special world and learn? Without them, in every sense there would be no Light, no purpose, nothing.
At my workshop on the Principles this past weekend, we spent a lot of time in the world of the Elementals, and were honoured to be allowed to work with the Spirits of the Elements also. It was an experience none of us will forget.
