And then there was the Word….

Written by Claire Montanaro.

Speech is used as a means of communication or expression all the time, and most of us who have the power of speech use it frequently. Often, however, it is abused.

I have talked before about how, using the higher mind we can create thought forms for later manifestation, but it can be forgotten that every word we use is in itself creative, either to assist the birth of the intent or to bring about change in a way to which we are oblivious or thoughtless. Every word matters.

So, if you have a vision about a new home, for example, by “designing” it in your mind initially you are establishing its non-physical reality, and when you are clear as to how you wish it to be you will then describe it in words, claim it in words, state your purpose in words and energise it in words. The more clear and positive (within the bounds of realism) you are the likelier you are to achieve what you want.

These days few people understand how to use their language for best effect, and many opportunities are lost through vagueness or negative speech. Everything we say, as well as do, brings about an effect by changing energy and influencing outcomes. By complaining about the weather we are inviting bad weather; speaking aimlessly in platitudes creates barriers and indicates a lack of focus or interest; biased media reporting can create illusion and fear; shouting at a child can affect him/her for the rest of their lives; swearing is a lazy and meaningless way of self-expression which, because of the desire behind it to shock or vent anger disseminates strong negative energies to the listeners and beyond.  Gossip is particularly damaging, for the participants and the object of gossip alike.

We use words mentally as well as orally, and these observations apply equally to how we and what we think. By watching what we say and pausing before rushing into speech, choosing our words with care and with awareness for their impact, we can both empower ourselves and and affect our world in ways that are enriching and hugely beneficial.

Dear Claire
Your post was once again spot on time…Having just returned from a deeply transformational journey, I was looking for ways to ground the new energies and the new spiritual level, back home, not be dragged back to the old routines. One of the ways to align, focus and clear my mind, is to speak aloud to myself the positive affirmations, little daily prayers and thanks, even about small things. Speaking aloud helps me stay focused on the spiritual and the positive, every moment, more than just thinking about it…it makes it more real. As for appearing strange to others: this is just a cultural convention and nothing more. Why is it acceptable in society to host all sorts of hateful thoughts inside the head (as long as it is hidden), but it is not acceptable to speak to oneself prayers and positive uplifting words… This is just meaningless prejudice. So yes, I will be speaking to myself from now on!
Much love
Victoria

A Universal Law...

The Law of Prayer.  Prayer is the precursor to meditation, but also the power of prayer to heal others and to bring about certain desired results can be very strong.  Prayer should only be used for the highest good and with the best of intent.
