Japanese Souls Going Home

Written by Claire Montanaro.

One of the saddest aspects of the Japanese tsunami is that so many bodies have disappeared and will never be seen again.

The loss of a loved one can be painful at any time, but for thousands of years the ritual processes associated with death and burial or cremation have helped to ease the grieving process for those left behind and bring about closure. For many thousands of Japanese in close-knit communities there will be the uncertainty of not knowing if friends and relatives are dead, a mixture of hope and dread without the comfort of being able to honour them in their final physicality and say farewell.

Meanwhile, however much the time and general manner of our leaving Earth is planned ahead of time, a multitude of souls will be in shock as they try to understand their new dimensional home and find their way back to the astral plane. They may not know yet what has happened and be in great confusion, literally in limbo. As you send your love and light to the people and nature and place of Japan, as I know you do, please remember these others also in your prayers. They all will be helped Home eventually, but your sympathy for their perplexity (without interfering with their karma) will help, as will your good wishes for their safe return.
