The Full Moon in February 2011

As I write the moon is coming into its peak of fullness, and looked magnificent as it sat low behind the trees when I arose this morning. It is all about change, and so is of great relevance to us and to our beautiful planet as we move inexorably towards the new phase of our being.

Nothing stands still, ever, and the constant movement can be as simple as our bodies renewing themselves all the time, and as complex as the great spiritual cycles which come and go. However much we may sometimes resist it, change is good as an opportunity to leave behind the past and what no longer serves us, and to embrace the unknown that lies ahead without fear. Come what may we cannot hide from it or avoid it, and to accept change willingly for what it is, new opportunity, will make the experience enjoyable, even fun.

Wherever we look change is around us, whether it is revolution in the Middle East, technical advances, medical breakthroughs, or a crumbling global economic system. We are witnessing a speed of change that has never been known before and this will accelerate until the final planetary breakthrough is achieved. We may, in months and years to come, wish to pause to catch our breaths, but may not be allowed to do so!  This is like childbirth, where we are in labour and unable to delay the process of birth because it is unstoppable. And that is quite a good analogy…….

If, today, you choose to ponder or meditate at this time of the full moon in Aquarius, you may wish to think about the beauty and inevitability of change, and the change that is occurring in your life and all around you, with appreciation for the perfection of what is occurring and the knowledge that, whatever happens, all will be well.
