Karmic Indiscretions in Parliament

Instant karma is often painful, and it is on very public display in the political world of the UK now.

It is only in these current times that karmic repercussion is happening so quickly that is almost instantaneous. In our previous lifetimes the karmic effect of our words, thoughts and actions might not be felt by us as souls for many cycles of existence because our spiritual evolution moved at a much slower pace than now.

Because of the urgency to complete our soul mission for the sake of humanity and the planet, and more, the opportunity for growth and learning is constant, and the effects of what we do returns to us straightaway, whether it be a kind and loving act or something more destructive.

The fall-out from the unwise words of a number of Lib Dem Ministers and MPs to undercover reporters are a good example of this. Their comments reflected judgment, gossip, obfuscation, prevarication, self-justification and ego, as well as lack of discernment, and within days they have been exposed and humiliated as a result. This is karma in action.

While for the individuals concerned the lessons have been hard, they have taught much to many as a result of what has happened, and not just in Parliament. Careless talk can do much damage, and there is much to be said for saying nothing at all unless it is relevant, helpful, and non-judgmental.

Everything we do results in karma, but it does not have to be negative. We may not always get it right, but if we do our best, the karma from it brings light and more light into our soul until it is visible for all to see - and it never goes away.
