Snow and Spirit

There are very few parts of the UK which are not blanketed in a white shroud of snow today, and much of mainland Europe also is experiencing similar conditions.

Snow is beautiful, cleansing, but also treacherous and deceptive, hiding many hidden dangers to trip us up if we are careless. It slows the pace of life down and reminds us of our priorities and what we take for granted in this world of easy transport and instant gratification. It forces us to remember the power of nature, and that we cannot eliminate it but must learn to co-operate with it. It is the harbinger of change.

In its own time the snow will leave these lands, and as earth reveals herself again then more reminders of the frailty of humanity will emerge through action and revelation. The coming solstice will be the climax of a cycle of drama about to begin, earth driven but also multi-dimensional. These snows, this weather, are the purification before the initiation - the Plan of God made manifest, and as such so very welcome.
