The Divine Gift of Music
Did you know that when the Gods play, one of Their greatest pleasures is to listen to music?
They create it, too. Their music is far more beautiful than that of our greatest composers: it truly does come from the realms of the angels, with notes, cadences and sounds that are like nothing on earth. The effect they have is a thousand times more sublime.
For most of us, we will have to wait to experience this divine pastime until we ourselves are inhabiting the highest realms, but that does not mean that we cannot benefit also from the power of beautiful sound. Tastes differ, of course, and what some people find appealing may be brash and ugly to others. Some of our music comes from the pens of men and women inspired by, or perhaps limited by, their own imagination or other human stimulus while other extraordinary music is a gift to us from our spiritual mentors, channelled to those open and able to receive it.
In these times of change and challenge music can be a true balm for the soul. It can soothe, and bring peace of mind and heart. Listening to music that is unbelievably perfect can strengthen our spiritual connection and help our souls to fly. Please don't deny yourself this gift from Spirit.

... Dear Claire What a lovely reminder...I remember having heard this type of celestial music a few times during sleep, both as a child and as an adult. Just as I woke up (usually under the ugly sound of an alarm clock) the celestial music receded to faintness, but slowly enough as to retain a glimpse of conscious memory of it.It was loud, but not in any way unpleasant and, as you say, more beautiful than we can ever imagine...I wonder if we could ask, before going to sleep, to attend such wonderful music or are we not to 'pre-book' events during dreams...In any case whenever it happens it is a great gift!
