Enhancing the reputations of the corrupt

The First Principle that I teach in the New Consciousness Foundation Course is, Be Who You Are. It is the foundation, the cornerstone for our human and soul journey for we cannot progress effectively unless we are able to live and be in our truth honestly and openly for all to see. Hiding behind a mask will not do any more; instead, our challenge is to integrate our spiritual self into the human being comfortably and joyfully and visibly.

Being who we are means doing our best, not trying to be perfect, and it means accepting our flaws and frailties gracefully while learning from them and attempting to turn the negatives into positives. We all have them, and every individual alive today has personal issues to ponder and reconcile with their higher self. In this context, my attention was caught this morning when I heard that London is known now as the reputation-laundering capital of the world. PR firms are making millions by transforming the notoriety of dubious or corrupt regimes and individuals mostly from overseas into good repute through distortion of the facts and lies.

This made me ponder on questions to do with ethics, morality, coporate and personal greed, intent, and also why London is the city where this is being spearheaded- a place which has an ancient and venerable spiritual history and which is overshadowed just now as a result. What these firms are doing is to promote a client to appear to be what they are not, which is the antithesis of the First Principle. It happens elsewhere also, a lot, such as in the media and in politics.

Can you imagine what our world would be like if people lived in and as their truth and required others to do so also?
