Being Optimistic

Despite all the concerns about the global financial economies, there is nonetheless much to be encouraged about.  A gel to help prevent the spread of HIV has been developed successfully; the cap on the oil leak in the Gulf seems to be holding; the idea of promoting community responsibility and power is gaining ground, spearheaded by David Cameron; and a pragmatic, always inevitable, decision has been taken to determine the future of Afghanistan through its own people. Furthermore I saw two baby hares in my garden this morning, which was a delightful and rare sight.

There may be a few surprises to come in the next few weeks and months - nothing cataclysmic, but significant. Earth is wanting to get our attention and change is in the air.  If and when it comes, welcome it for what it is and remember all the good that is occurring now.  When there is an occurrence or a situation which seems negative, there is always, always something else to gladden the heart and restore our optimism.
