The wisdom of nature
It is very peaceful here in mid-Wales today. The chilly weather has gone and we have a windless, sunny warm day. It is amazing how nature knows ahead of time what is going to happen. The night before the weather became wintry again, the swallows and flycatchers, all the insect eating birds, flew around the house in farewell and disappeared, leaving their nests half-built.
Last night, as I shivered watching mandarin ducks on the pond, out of nowhere appeared a dozen swifts and some swallows. They darted around for a few minutes and then disappeared again. They knew warmer weather was coming and to stand by. This morning, they are all back to business, and have brought other friends with them.
They teach us so much, don't they? They understand about patience and acceptance, and they know that even if temporarily the conditions are difficult, one day sooner or later a new cycle will come which is perfect for them. They trust.
As I see and hear all the life around me, I know all is well, and always will be.
