Political altruism?
It would have been remarkable, given the necessary confusion and unravelling that is prevalent in the world as the power of the Fourth Ray of Harmony through Conflict becomes ever stronger, if yesterday's British election had resulted in an unequivocal and credible result. It is all part of the pattern of the dismantling of the old to make way for the new.
Having been involved heavily in politics in an earlier part of my life, it has still a fascination for me, and I watched the results late into the night and continue to monitor the reaction and commentary now. The focus of attention right now is, who will or can be in power and what deals will be necessary to achieve this?
I was struck this morning by the lack of discussion about, what will be best for the country and the people? It is all about personalities, parties, politics. Who, genuinely, has the grace to suggest a solution that is bigger than that, that puts the needs of the nation first over and above their personal aspirations for power and the trappings of power - even though it will be the most challenging job imaginable? Where is the altruism?
The people of Britain collectively have expressed their desire for a new way of political democracy by creating this situation of chaos. It is ironic that hundreds of voters who wished to express thier view in the one way available to them (at the moment) were denied the opportunity due to inefficiencies in the electoral system. They will have other opportunities, much sooner than may be expected.
